Stacey Stater
North America Associate General Counsel
Stacey Stater is Vice President and Associate General Counsel. She joined Monsanto in 2001 and recently added US Seeds & Traits Commercial LPC leadership to her long-standing role leading LPC support for Global Seeds & Traits and US Crop Protection Regulatory and PASS.
In addition to the NALT, she sits on the leadership teams for Crop Science LPC and PASS. As an LPC Business Partner, Stacey has extensive experience supporting the registration and launch of new products and protecting and expanding Bayer’s license to operate. She has a demonstrated passion for product stewardship, supporting our customers’ success, and people development.
Stacey grew up in Southern Iowa. She received her J.D., Order of the Coif, from Washington University School of Law, St. Louis, MO and her B.A., International Management, Cum Laude, from Central College, Pella, IA.
She spent her junior year at the University of Granada, Spain but regrets that she is no longer fluent in Spanish. Before joining Monsanto/Bayer, Stacey was an attorney with Thompson Coburn, LLC and Mallinckrodt Inc.
In her free time, Stacey enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with her family. She volunteers with the United Way and St. Louis Area Food Bank. She has 2 adult children and lives in St. Louis with her husband and dogs.
