At the heart of Bayer’s commitment to society is the active role we play in supporting people and communities in the areas surrounding our primary business locations. As a philanthropic arm of Bayer in the United States, Bayer Fund develops programs and makes strategic investments in qualified non-profit organizations tackling big social challenges in communities where our employees live and work.

Established in 1964 as Monsanto Fund, the entity was renamed Bayer Fund in 2019. In 2020, Bayer Fund incorporated the activities of the former Bayer USA Foundation, founded in 1953, continuing its legacy of community engagement and commitment to enhancing the quality of life in our communities.
