Tom Marvin
Head of North America Regulatory Science
Tom Marvin is the Head of Regulatory Science, North America for Bayer Crop Science. Tom and his team of regulatory affairs, human safety, environmental safety, state and federal engagement, and information management professionals are responsible for seeking, obtaining, and defending regulatory approvals on behalf of Bayer in the United States and Canada.
Most recently, Tom served as the Director of Federal/International Regulatory Affairs for Monsanto. He was also lead counsel for Monsanto’s global Crop Protection and Seed Applied Solutions businesses and was the Regulatory Counsel in Monsanto’s Office of Law and Policy.
Prior to joining Monsanto, Tom held various public and private sector positions, including National Enforcement Counsel for Pesticides and Chemical Substances at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, DC, and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.
Tom has a Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School and a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University. He lives in the Washington, DC area with his wife and two daughters.
