U.S. Seed Licensing Business Lead
Matthew Brandt serves as the Vice President, Head of US Seed Licensing for North America and Australia / New Zealand Crop Science Division of Bayer, leading the Corn States and WestBred commercial units which are responsible for developing and delivering on our product, marketing and account management plans with our corn, cotton, soybean and wheat licensing partners.
Matthew joined Bayer in 2006 as a Technical Service Representative with Monsanto Choice Genetics and has since held roles of increasing leadership responsibility within Corn States LLC, US Corn Product Management, Commercial Sales and North America Market Development. Most recently, he served as the VP and US Head of Technology Development where he led the US Technology Development team in development and execution of commercial field-testing strategies.
Matthew grew up on a diversified grain and livestock operation in Southern Illinois and has deep passion for serving the seed industry with innovation, tools and solutions that help farmers and the seed brands that serve them sustainably increase yield, profitability and production practices to make strides in regenerative agricultural practices. Beyond work, Matthew continues to raise livestock and is involved with row-crop agriculture on his family’s farm where he, his wife and two sons reside in Southern Illinois.
Matthew earned his Bachelor and Master's of Science from the University of Missouri in Animal Sciences.
