John Chambers

Head of North America Regional Market Development

John Chambers serves as a member of the North America Commercial Operations Leadership Team and heads North America Regional Market Development within the Crop Science division of Bayer. Based in St. Louis, Mo., John leads the regional organization to deliver agronomic expertise and technical support for the sales organization and external resellers.

Most recently, John was the Technology Development & Agronomy Lead for the North America Region at Monsanto, where he was responsible for overseeing the Knowledge Transfer, Agronomic Systems, Field Compliance and Seed Processing, Technology Development, and Agronomy teams for the past three years.  

John joined Monsanto in 1993 as a sales representative. Throughout his career with Monsanto, he has served in a variety of sales, general management, organizational development, operations, and product management roles, including the role of Global Product Management Lead for Monsanto’s regions in Asia. Prior to his role as North America Lead, John served as the Global Corn Technology Lead.

John grew up on a diversified grain and livestock farm in Ohio. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics from the Ohio State University. John resides in St. Louis with his wife and two children.
