SOCOOPAGOS was the first pilot cooperative of the MOAYE program launched in 2014 by Bayer WCA SA to help improve the living conditions of farmers and food security. Also, it is the 1st of the 9 pilot cooperatives within the framework of the BAYER Reward.
The common denominator of cooperatives receiving a certificate is the use of the Track and Trace tool (Box) through the application of the Bayer Reward Plus app from Bayer for at least one year. In order to facilitate the handling of this innovation, training is regularly organized by Bayer WCA SA within all the partner cooperatives (ETC TAABO, CAREJA, COOPAAPROMAN, CADESA, CAYAT, SCAES, CABEND, SCJPAB, SOCOOPAGOS). Size precision, three Bayer products are currently concerned, these are the Sivanto Energy, the Serenade Aso and the Cabrio Duo (200Ml and 1L).
The training sessions are interactive, they take into account the presentation and handling of the Bayer Rewards Plus (BRP) application through discussions and tutorials. The benefits for cooperatives are legion: better stock management, protection of the environment, avoidance of residues in the fields, production of cleaner crops and the provision of bonuses according to function. To be entitled to training, three major criteria are required:
- Be a member of an agricultural cooperative that is a client of BAYER WCA SA through the MOAYE PROGRAM, operating in the COCOA sector in Côte d'Ivoire;
- Have a smartphone and internet access;
- Be an applicator of phytosanitary products, rural section delegate, phytosanitary manager.
Bayer WCA SA, pioneer of the ecosystemic approach and partner of cooperatives wishes through this action, to preserve crops and promote the practical and optimal use of phytosanitary products made available. All of this is part of our vision of health for all, hunger for no one, which materializes in key initiatives such as the Better Life Farming Centers and the MOAYE program.
