In December 2021, Bayer again made a major donation to a charitable organization. A second round of office furniture sales, which employees at the Basel and Zurich sites were able to purchase at a discounted price, raised 30,817 Swiss francs.

The employees were then allowed to vote on which Swiss organization should receive these generous proceeds, and the choice fell on the Gassenküche Basel association.

The Gassenküche Basel offers people in need a free breakfast or dinner for only 3 Swiss francs. Around 200 guests are served per day. The Gassenküche Basel association comprises about 50 volunteers and has been supported by Bayer for several years.
