Bayer donated more than 70,000 food supplements to the food bank foundation Schweizer Tafel
Bayer Switzerland donated 60,000 packs of RedoxImmuno and 10,000 units of Santogen to the food bank foundation Schweizer Tafel in the first half of 2022.
Bayer chose to partner with Schweizer Tafel because this organization collects surplus but perfect quality goods and food from companies and retailers, and then distributes these free of charge to 500 social organizations such as homeless shelters, soup kitchens, emergency accommodation centers, and women’s refuges across Switzerland. Through its work, it aims to bridge the gap between abundance and deficit, and help people in need across Switzerland, in keeping with the Bayer vision of “Health For All—Hunger for None.” As a result of this partnership, recipients at the social organizations were able to receive Bayer food supplements alongside their food parcels.

“Distribute food—alleviate poverty.” This is Schweizer Tafel’s mission guiding its work to distribute high-quality, surplus food to social organizations such as homeless shelters, soup kitchens, emergency accommodation centers, and other aid organizations, amounting to over 4,700 metric tons with a value of more than CHF 31 million each year—around 18 metric tons a day. This is equivalent to nine million meals a year.
