Mike Graham

Dr. Michael (Mike) Graham serves as Head of Research & Development for the Crop Science division of Bayer. In this role, he is a member of the Crop Science Leadership Team and oversees the research and development pipeline for the division. 


In his previous role, he was the Head of Plant Breeding for Bayer's Crop Science division, based in St. Louis, Missouri. In this pivotal role, he led a global team dedicated to advancing plant genetics and breeding programs, focused on developing superior seed varieties for farmers.


As a third-generation plant scientist, Mike is committed to discovering innovative approaches that enhance agricultural productivity through cutting-edge plant breeding techniques. He earned his Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, a Master of Science in Plant Breeding from the University of Delaware, and a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from the University of Minnesota.


Mike joined Bayer Crop Science in 2018, bringing with him 20 years of experience at Monsanto. During his tenure there, he held various roles within the Plant Breeding and Biotechnology organizations, beginning as a corn breeder and ultimately advancing to executive positions, including Head of Global Breeding. His extensive background and expertise position him as a leader in the field, driving innovation and progress in agricultural science.
