Head of Integration and Transformation, Crop Science

Claudia Scherer_0.jpg Claudia Scherer serves as member of the Executive Leadership Team and Head of Integration & Transformation for the Crop Science division of Bayer. Based in Monheim, Germany, Scherer is responsible for finalizing the Bayer and Monsanto integration and leading other cross-functional transformation programs.

 

Prior to her current role, Scherer was the Head of Corporate Strategy & Business Transformation within the Strategy & Business Consulting team at Bayer. In this role, Scherer focused on Group-level strategic initiatives, vision, group strategy and the strategic planning cycle as well as transformational projects related to integration, (re)organization, and digital transformation. She has previously led various teams in the area of Bayer Business Consulting with a strong project focus on Crop Science.

 

Before joining Bayer in 2011, Scherer worked for external consultancies on a variety of international assignments with a focus on strategy and transformation, specifically strategic portfolio management, market strategies and post-merger integrations. In parallel she also worked as a management trainer.

 

Scherer started her professional career in management consulting over 16 years ago. She holds a master’s degree in economics from Maastricht University.

 

Scherer is married with one son. She enjoys tennis and running in her free time.
