Meet Rahaf Al Jehani
The embodiment of our LIFE value of Leadership and a pioneer in her own right, Rahaf was the first Saudi woman to join Bayer’s General Medicine Unit in the Pharma division in the Kingdom. Rahaf joined as a Product Specialist in women’s healthcare and is now responsible for the Pharmacovigilance Department, working closely with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority. She is driven by her dream to find a cure for cancer and her passion for helping others. Today, Rahaf upholds Bayer’s dedication to Advancing Life and nurturing career growth by mentoring newly onboarded graduates that have joined the team. She credits the office’s family environment and extensive support she receives from her colleagues and mentor for empowering her to help others.

Meet Haya Hashem
Our Bayer Rising Star Haya Hashem is passionate about creating real-world impact in Saudi Arabia. Haya’s focus is Bayer’s product line for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS), a disease that affects around 20% of Saudi Arabia’s population. She brings the Bayer LIFE value of Integrity to her work every day.
“There are many competitors working to treat this disease, but I really enjoy the part of my job that requires me to study the research and focus on elevating our product to become a market leader. To gain customer confidence I need to be well informed about the science, which is something I really enjoy.”
A Senior Product Specialist who has been with Bayer for more than five years, Haya credits her success with the supportive environment that nurtures her professional development.

Meet Jaber Al Asiri
Meet one of Bayer’s Rising Stars, Jaber Asiri, who joined us as a Medical Sales Rep in our KSA offices. He credits Bayer for teaching him structure, organisation and time management skills, and is well aware that he is all the better for it. “The daily routine and schedule I’ve developed since joining Bayer has made me a more productive person all round. On weekends and even during lockdown, it allowed me to remain productive which is something I am truly grateful for.” At Bayer, fostering a healthy work-life balance is one of the core values; providing employees with flexible working arrangements helps to contribute to a happier and more efficient workplace culture.

Bayer’s field force includes 45 female Saudi nationals (as of December 2020). In line with the Saudi Vison 2030, we want to increase this number significantly in the coming years.
Meet Mohammed Alsharief
Our Rising Star Mohammed Alsharief is a Product Specialist at Bayer, who feels fully supported in his personal and professional development. He joined as a Product Specialist in our offices in Saudi Arabia. Mohammed has been with Bayer for over a year and works on the ophthalmology product line. He chose Bayer, and this specific product line, because of how Bayer’s medication has helped a member of his family. Here’s what he had to say about his journey at Bayer so far: “Bayer gives new recruits everything they need to thrive and it is because of the support I’ve received from my managers and mentor that I’m able to succeed at my job.”

Meet Khaled Al Goud
Meet Khaled Al Goud, who joined Bayer as a Medical Sales Representative in January 2016. A Rising Star who truly embodies the Bayer LIFE value of Leadership, earlier this year he became the first Saudi national ever to be promoted to District Sales Manager, and now managed a team of 17 sales reps. Khaled values the career support, positive work culture and dynamic environment of the Bayer office. “Bayer makes a plan for the growth and development of everyone on the team, and I felt that support from day one. Our Rising Star Wesam Bafarag joined Bayer as a Medical Sales Representative in 2015, was promoted to Senior Medical Sales Representative in 2018, and today thrives as a Key Account Specialist. Wesam has a strategic mindset that helps him thrive as a Key Account Specialist. He credits Bayer with helping him to overcome his weaknesses. Meet Shahad Samarqandi
Meet our Rising Star, Shahad Samarqandi, whose dedication to patient wellbeing truly reflects Bayer's LIFE value of Integrity.
Shahad joined the Bayer team in 2018 in a unique role as a Beta plus specialist on Bayer’s patient support program, a first for the region and for Bayer globally. While pioneering a new division came with its own challenges, Shahad worked hard, persisted and overcame them. “The best part of my job is helping patients and knowing we are providing everything they need.”
Shahad’s goal is to expand Bayer’s patient support programme to include other medications and conditions, and ultimate to make it the leading patient support programme in Saudi Arabia.
