Feedback is definitely worth a level of discomfort on both on the receiving and the providing end. The reason is that we provide feedback to our colleagues because we care about them and we care about the work we do together.

What I do as an exercise, every time I have something to say to somebody, is to think about what happens, if I don’t share this feedback. It becomes a blind spot for the other person and prevents them to really pay attention at a growing opportunity that they have in their careers.
