Andreas Kurtz

Andreas Kurtz is Head of the Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Registry (hPSCreg, former European Human Embryonic Stem Cell Registry) and leads the data management of the European Bank of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (EBiSC). 


He has been a member of the European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies. He has also been director of the German Human Embryonic Stem Cell Research Authority and developed the tool Cell Finder to support cell-based application and facilitate long term cell related data storage.


Andreas Kurtz is currently at the Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering. He is also a member of faculty at the BIH Center for Regenerative Therapies, the Berlin School for Regenerative Therapies, and Seoul National University.
