Malu Nachreiner is Head of the Region Asia for the Crop Science Division of Bayer, effective 1st March 2024, where she is responsible for leading Bayer’s agricultural business to deliver value for customers in the region. She is also a member of the Crop Science Executive Leadership Team.


After starting her career with the company 20 years ago as an intern, Malu has held various leadership positions in the areas of Sales, Marketing, and Product Management. Most recently, she is the Senior Bayer Representative (SBR) and Crop Science Country Division Head (CDH) for Brazil, leading the local team, building strategies for reputation, ESG and business growth. In Crop Science, she was responsible for driving commercial innovations to sustain growth in the short term, while developing new fields of customer value for the medium and long term. Prior to this, she was Regional Head of Marketing for Latin America (LATAM), leading marketing initiatives and adapting global strategies to meet local needs.


As the first woman to hold the position of SBR in the country, Malu led the organization towards common goals, being an example of purpose-based leadership and incorporating the company's cultural values. Her work extends to developing people and teams, promoting a high-performance organization and a solid succession plan. Throughout her professional career, she has had the opportunity to lead significant teams in management roles. Her business acumen, the ability to establish partnerships with stakeholders amidst uncertainty and ambiguity, and her effectiveness in conflict resolution are highlights in her leadership approach.


Malu graduated from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (Esalq/USP), with an Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. A Brazilian by nationality, Malu is based in Singapore with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
