The office is also a turnkey business for Bayer’s divisions – Crop Science, Consumer Health and Pharmaceuticals.

The Seeds Lab is one of the nine innovation centers of Crop Science. The scientists’ tasks include screening for innovative agronomic as well as quality traits and integrating them into crops. The scientists and technicians in the Seeds Lab are particularly proud of their contributions when it comes to hybrid rice varieties that are resistant to Bacterial Leaf Blight (BLB) for use in India, for instance. The molecular screening and analytical capabilities of the lab are critical in ensuring that the entire Arize portfolio will eventually offer resistance to this rice disease. This will ensure that farmers in these countries can thrive from their yields.
