Strong emotions, exuberant cheers, tears of joy – lead to unforgettable sporting moments.

The success story of Bayer’s athletes began in Tokyo back in 1964 with Willi Holdorf’s Olympic victory in the decathlon.

Since then, Bayer Sport has seen a succession of triumphs. Several of these achievements have etched themselves into the collective consciousness of Germany, standing as special moments in the nation's sporting history.

Among these milestones are the accomplishments of five Bayer athletes who have earned their place in Hall of Fame for German sport.

In recent years, Bayer athletes have garnered over 90 Paralympic and 70 Olympic medals. This successful record is set to be continued at the Olympic Games Paris 2024

The diversity within Bayer sports clubs shines through the distinct personalities and achievements of its athletes.

In addition to European champion Konstanze Klosterhalfen, who aims to qualify for two events at the Olympic Games 2024 Paris, épée fencer Alexandra Ndolo and saber fencer Matyas Szabo also have high hopes for the Games in Paris.

Among the para-athletes, following their success at the World Athletics Championships 2023 with four world championship titles, Irmgard Bensusan, Markus Rehm, Johannes Floors, and Leon Schäfer are eager to build on their accomplishments. Tokyo 2021 Paralympic champions Markus Rehm and Johannes Floors are determined to defend their Paralympic golds. Their fellow club members, Irmgard Bensusan and Leon Schäfer, are aiming to improve on the silver medals they won in 2021 and strive for Paralympic gold in the long jump and sprint events!
