Ho Chi Minh City, October 12, 2023 – Bayer Vietnam and Gia Dinh People’s Hospital (the Hospital) have recently signed a cooperation agreement to jointly promote activities focused on knowledge updates and sharing of clinical experiences in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, cancer, infections, and women's health care. Through this collaboration, both parties emphasize their shared vision and goals in raising the quality of healthcare for patients and the community in Vietnam.
Within the framework of this agreement, a variety of activities will be implemented to enhance the professional capacity of the medical staff, increase awareness, and facilitate community and patient access to accurate medical information as well as proactive health management.
Bayer Vietnam announces strategic partnership with Gia Dinh People’s Hospital for capability enhancement of healthcare professionals and knowledge for community
- The strategic cooperation agreement between Bayer Vietnam and Gia Dinh People’s Hospital marks a significant step towards updating knowledge and facilitating the sharing of clinical experiences in key areas of healthcare, including diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases, oncology, infectious diseases, and women's health.
- The collaboration encompasses a wide range of initiatives, including: the development of training document, scientific seminars and conference, continuous medical training programs for healthcare professionals; improving health literacy in the communities; connecting and fostering professional collaboration between Gia Dinh People’s Hospital and international medical organizations.
Specifically, in the coming period, with additional resources and support from Bayer, the Hospital will continue to strengthen scientific research, develop educational materials, organize conferences, scientific seminars, and continuous medical training programs to update knowledge and medical information in the diagnosis and treatment fields. This particularly focuses on the following treatment areas:
- CVRM diseases, with a focus on preventing and treating hypertension, stroke prevention, venous thromboembolism (VTE)
- Women's health, including modern contraceptive methods, endometriosis treatment, prenatal nutrition, and solutions for dermatological issues.
- Antibiotic usage in the treatment of various infectious diseases.
- Oncology, especially hepatic cell carcinoma treatment regimens.
- Diagnostic imaging solutions in cardiovascular and cancer diseases treatments.
In addition, Bayer Vietnam commits to supporting and promoting international cooperation, connecting the Hospital with reputable medical organizations and experts worldwide, to share clinical experiences and update progressive and effective treatment methods in the mentioned areas.
On the other hand, both parties will work closely to strengthen the development of programs and activities that enhance community knowledge about preventive care measures and disease treatment options, fostering the practice of self-care and improving treatment adherence, through diverse digital platforms and modern communication tools. The long-term goal of these activities is to empower patients to take control of their own health issues, thereby reducing pressure on the healthcare system and society as a whole.

Gia Dinh General Hospital is a first-class general hospital, under the management of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health.
