Bayer has set the course for successful development as a Life Science company. This translates into a company structure with the Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health and Crop Science divisions. The Pharmaceuticals division focuses on medicines that are only available on prescription. Consumer Health mainly markets over-the-counter medicines and Crop Science is the world leader in crop protection products, vegetable seeds and non-agricultural pest management.

In the Benelux Bayer has very diverse activities at different locations: from R&D and production to Sales & Marketing. 2100 colleagues are committed to Bayer's divisions every day. In Belgium you will find our locations in Diegem, Antwerp and Brussels, and in the Netherlands you will find Bayer in Bergschenhoek, Maastricht, Enkhuizen, Hoofddorp and Wageningen.

Bayer Medical Care B.V. is located in the center of Maastricht. Here more than 130 employees work on the sale, distribution and maintenance of radiology equipment. The Radiology business unit is a global sector leader in radiology (contrast media, equipment, IT). 

In Bergschenhoek, approximately 360 employees work on developing new vegetable seed varieties that can grow into high-quality and nutritious products. The site consists of greenhouses for research, breeding and testing activities, a seed processing plant, quality control and research laboratories. The headquarters for Crop Science in the EMEA region is also located in Bergschenhoek. 

The location in Enkhuizen focuses on processing, packaging and shipping the vegetable seeds. From here, many packages are shipped all over the world. More than 145 colleagues work here. 

Hoofddorp is an office location from which more than 375 colleagues support our customers in the EMEA region. Employees are also working here for the Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health and Crop Science divisions, particularly in the areas of marketing, sales, customer services, registration and support services. With more than 40 nationalities, our office in Hoofddorp has a very international character. 

In Wageningen, about 60 employees work on breeding programs for vegetable crops that grow in the open field, such as cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and many other vegetables.
