Switzerland said «YES»

On September 26, the Swiss electorate clearly said «yes» to «Marriage for all». Around 64,1% voted in favor of equality for same-sex lovers in our country. 

Bayer Switzerland supported the «YES for all» campaign in this context. In doing so, we wanted to make a contribution to an inclusive Switzerland and show that «Marriage for all» is not a minority concern but a basic attitude of society and business: for equal duties, for equal rights. The result of the vote is a sign for an open, liberal Switzerland. For a country that is a place worth living and working in. For equal treatment and inclusion.

Switzerland was one of the last Western European countries in which homosexual couples were denied civil marriage and thus important rights. With «Marriage for all» , this elementary discrimination will finally be eliminated and all couples will be treated equally.

Diversity is Swiss and diversity and equal opportunities contribute to a successful Switzerland. This is also how we live at Bayer, and this is what our Swiss I&D Council with the employee network groups Blend, Enable, Grow and Family Connections is committed to.
