That being said, it is important for us to address public concerns and other points of views on a number of topics raised by Canadians. We are in constant dialogue with interest groups and regulators to promote a scientifically-founded, rational, and responsible discussion and decision-making process.

Two major global trends facing our society are population growth and increased life expectancy. How will we feed up to 10 billion people by 2050 while contending with the impact of climate change? How will we ensure the quality of life expected for an aging population?

These are the challenges that inspire us every day to develop better medicines, increase the production of high-quality food and develop life improving solutions.
