The growing and aging world population represents an increasing challenge to public health care systems. As a result, self-care is becoming increasingly important for millions of people and also for governments, health care systems and health care payers.
In response to this trend, our Consumer Health division offers consumers self-care solutions through its largely non-prescription (OTC) brands for the treatment and prevention of diseases and for boosting well-being. Our strategy is aimed at further extending our strong position in the market for over-the-counter medicines, nutritional supplements and other self-care products in selected categories.
Bayer Crop Science is leading the way in crop protection products in Austria. Through our innovative products and pioneering expertise, we offer farmers customized solutions. One of the aims at the Crop Science division is to ensure enough food, feed, fiber and renewable raw materials can be produced for a growing world population on the limited land available. Our operations cover crop protection, seeds and non-agricultural applications.
We want to contribute to global food security by increasing agricultural productivity in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way. Our innovative prowess is geared toward benefiting both our customers and society as a whole and is the source of our long-term growth.
Crop Science’s strategy is built on three cornerstones – leading the way in innovation, focusing ever more closely on customers, and promoting and further developing sustainable farming practices.
We believe in the inventive spirit of mankind and are determined that every commitment to innovation should be a commitment to sustainability. We put this commitment into practice with Bayer ForwardFarming in cooperation with the Hollabrunn Agricultural School in Lower Austria. Here, innovative and sustainable methods in agriculture are tested and further developed, for example in the areas of biodiversity, water or plant protection. Get more details here
