Bayer Thai partnered with BMA to advance the "Healthy City" initiative

Bayer Thai Co., Ltd. has collaborated with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to advance the "Healthy City" initiative in honor of His Majesty the King’s 72nd birthday.  This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), aims to promote public awareness about endometriosis and encourage healthier lifestyles among the Thai community.

Mrs. Lertlak Leelaruengsang, Director of the Medical Department of Bangkok (3rd from the left), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mr. Bradley Williams, Managing Director of Bayer Thai Co., Ltd. (3rd from the right), to support and enhance sustainable healthcare for the Thai people. This initiative aligns with the 20-year development plan of Bangkok to create a “Healthy City” and Bayer's mission to ensure “Health for all, Hunger for none.” The goal is to promote good health among Bangkok residents through exercise and ensure equitable, timely, and efficient access to medical and public health services. This initiative is in honor of His Majesty the King on the occasion of the auspicious royal ceremony celebrating his 6th cycle birthday on July 28, 2024. The signing ceremony took place recently at the Medical Department of Bangkok.

Under this MOU, Bangkok and Bayer Thailand will undertake two activities: 1) Raising awareness about endometriosis by organizing seminars  with specialist doctors in hospitals to communicate with patients and the general public (Endometriosis: Expert Treat, Expert Talk), as well as jointly disseminating materials about endometriosis to foster a correct understanding and improve access to diagnosis and treatment, which will help reduce the impact and severity of the disease, including access to treatment for patients who have not yet been able to receive care. 2) Organizing a health walk-run event "Healthy Up! Run 2024" on December 22, 2024, at Benchakitti Park in Bangkok to promote health enhancement along with health awareness activities (Healthy Up! Talk). The proceeds after expenses will be used to support medical activities in hospitals under the BMA.
