When will we run out of water, and apps will replace doctors?
(November 16, 2022)
Although they are aware of the water crisis, they do not fear that water taps will run dry one day. They appreciate sustainable agriculture, and would happily present drought-tolerant seeds to farmers. They appreciate science and innovativeness and - although they are eying health management apps, they are not giving up on seeing doctors. They notice the value of digital solutions for the health of their parents and grandparents. Meet the young Hungarians in the “Bayer Barometer 2022” report . It draws a picture of young people who are aware of the problems but also know how to make use of innovations.
The “Bayer Barometer” is an annual survey of Hungarians' awareness of socially important issues – sustainable development, attitudes towards science and modern solutions in health and agriculture. This year, the survey focuses on topics widely discussed in the public space: the water crisis, including awareness and efforts to limit its consequences; and caring for health, including the use of various health tracking apps.
This year, this vividly painted diagnosis, which always sparks lively debates, shows a portrait of a generation that is ready to take over the helm of the world in just a moment. How will today's 20-olds arrange it, and in what condition will they stay?
How much do young Hungarians know about the water scarcity issue? What do 20-year-olds do when they need advice or information about their health?
Find out more details and statistics in the survey material HERE. Infographics on water, infographics on self care are also available.
